ANDREW WINBURN

Bio
In 2018, I graduated from Rockhurst University where I studied Physics of Medicine. I determined that becoming a doctor wasn’t what I truly wanted and decided to pursue a career in technology. I am looking forward to being able to turn my love of building and troubleshooting computers into a lifelong career. I will be getting married in June and could not be any happier about the exciting path my life has taken.
Q&A
Q: Why did you decide to come to Centriq?
A: I knew Centriq was the right path for me to hone my technological skills when I learned about their hands-on style of teaching. I appreciate that this program lets me learn at my own pace and encourages the students to work together as a team and build each other up in the pursuit of learning.
Q: What class has been your favorite so far?
A: I really enjoyed Network+, we got lots of hands on learning as well as information that will be highly relevant to network troubleshooting in the field. I am confident that I could set up a brand-new, out of the box Cisco Router and have it work as intended.
Q: What do you hope to do after Centriq?
A: I hope to work my way up into a career based around security. Whether that involves ethical hacking or network security, I will be happy when I can protect the information of my employers as well as their clients.
Q: What other hobbies and interests do you have?
A: When I find the time for it, I enjoy competitive shooting. I also enjoy playing with my two cats, Steven and Katarina, as well as my dog, Lupin. When there is downtime between work and school, I enjoy cooking dinner with my Fiancée, Kolina.
