Bio
“I was born and raised in Kansas City and attended high school in Oak Grove, MO. Prior to coming to Centriq, I was a Line Cook and Receiver Supervisor at a gourmet grocery store named Dean and Deluca, located in the heart of Leawood. I worked my way up at Dean and Deluca over my four years of employment there. However, I realized wasn’t going to be able to grow financially in the way I wanted to by working in the food industry, so I decided to leave Dean and Deluca. Growing up, I always had a strong passion for technology. I built my first computer in the 8th grade and obtained a few IT certifications in high school. My passion for technology is what made me decide to go to Centriq.“
Q&A
Q: Why did you decide to come to Centriq?
A: I decided to come to Centriq to advance my knowledge in the IT field and to help me get my foot in the door in this industry.
Q: What class has been your favorite so far?
A: So far, my favorite subject matter has been Windows/System Administrator tasks using PowerShell. I believe that PowerShell is a very cool and effective tool that everybody should master if they’re going to be working in this industry.
Q: What do you hope to do after Centriq?
A: I hope to find an entry-level position to help me get my foot in the door in the industry. I would also like to work in Kansas City, close to the downtown region. Down the road, I would like a career in Security – specifically I like the idea of becoming a Penetration Tester.
Q: What other interests do you have?
A: In my free time, I like to spend time with my friends. I’m a social person, so I like to meet new people, and find new things to do in the city with my friends. I also like to work on cars, specifically European cars. I grew up working on older Volkswagens with my dad and his friends, and have been in a local European Car club for the last 10 years. Additionally, I enjoy playing video games or working on computers. I’ve always been the go-to guy in my friend group or family if anybody has computer issues.
