Bio
“For the last 5 years I’ve been working in restaurant management and marketing in Kansas City, Missouri. I also served in the Missouri National Guard from 2001 to 2009 as a Cannon Crewman. Along the way I’ve gained an understanding of the dynamics of a team, communication, and how to succeed in fast-paced, high-stress situations. In February of 2017 I began attending Centriq Training, and am looking forward to starting a new career with a great company.“
Q&A
Q: Why did you decide to come to Centriq?
A: I love new challenges, and acquiring new skills, which was a big part of the appeal of web development for me. Several friends of mine have attended in the past, and had positive experiences with Centriq, so I considered it for myself. It was a smart decision, and I’m glad I went with it.
Q: What class has been your favorite so far?
A: I’ve enjoyed front-end development the most. Art has always been a big part of my life, so the visual side of things pulled me in from the start. That said, the overall process of building a web app is interesting to me. It can be kind of intimidating at first, but it’s a lot of fun when everything starts to click and come together.
Q: What do you hope to do after Centriq?
A: I’m excited to start gaining some real-world experience. Working with a team on something like this will be a cool new experience. I also want to learn more languages, build on the knowledge I’ve gained so far, and spend some time learning about mobile app development.
Q: What other interests do you have?
A: I’ve been writing and performing music for about 15 years now, and have two bands based out of Kansas City. I’m also into concert photography, and occasionally do flyer and t-shirt design.
