NOAH MATA
Bio
I grew up in the Kansas City, Missouri area and was homeschooled as a kid. While in high school, I worked part-time with a drywall company and in food services. After graduating high school, I worked full time at my family’s drywall company and pursued my hobbies on the side. After a while, I realized with drywall I was just going through the motions and not taking time to challenge myself, so I decided to pursue a career change. I remembered trying code academy as a kid and enjoying learning the basics of HTML. I decided to look at a school for coding and found Centriq.
Q&A
Q: Why did you decide to come to Centriq?
A: When I started looking for colleges to attend, I noticed a recurring trend of low hiring rates out of college and large tuition fees. As I was searching for alternative options, I found Centriq and decided that it was a fantastic option. I signed up as soon as I could.
Q: What class has been your favorite so far?
A:That’s a tough one because I like all of them, but I think C# is probably my favorite due to all the interesting things you can do with it and how enjoyable it is to write in C#.
Q: What do you hope to do after Centriq?
A: I hope to get a developer job and fund my hobbies with the money I earn from work I enjoy!
Q: What other interests do you have?
A: I love collecting (and listening to) records! I have a decent collection already but would love to expand it in the future. I also enjoy casual gaming, reading, cooking, and watching shows/movies.
