Our up-to-date, cutting edge IT curriculum — developed by IT professionals and coders themselves — is designed to give Centriq grads the technology or coding job skills that are in demand today.
The IT skills you learn at Centriq prepare you for a career in technology. While there are many different job roles in IT, they can generally be divided into a cybersecurity role or a developer (coding) role. Regardless of which path you choose, our programs train you on the most current technologies employers are using because – unlike four year schools – we can quickly adapt our curriculum to match changes in the job market.
Our cloud and cybersecurity training is designed to get you experience in supporting various aspects of modern computer networks. This includes ticketing management using ConnectWise, computer hardware and software, and networking concepts and devices. Gain foundational knowledge on core cloud computing concepts and providers including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services with access to official courseware for their respective entry-level cert.
You then transition into the exciting world of cybersecurity where you train for your CompTIA Security+ certification and gain an understanding of foundational principles for securing networks and network devices utilizing Wireshark, Kali Linux, and other security toolsets. We also introduce the use of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT and best practices for leveraging them to assist with learning new concepts. A selection of ChatGPT prompts will be provided to demonstrate how generative AI can be used to assist with the creation of relational database schemas, generation of mock data, and review of key concepts related to database structures and management.

We base our Full Stack Coding training primarily on Microsoft’s enterprise .NET C# (Visual Studio) development platform, which a majority of employers use. However, just as the technology workplace evolves and uses newer open source coding tools, we also provide you with exposure to these technologies. Additionally, students will be provided with a curated prompt for use with AI chatbots, which simulates a mentoring session between the student and a senior C# developer. This not only provides students with additional exposure to the capabilities of these technologies, but also serves as a dynamic and engaging method for students to practice debugging and reinforce important C# concepts.
Microsoft .NET C# is the primary framework and coding language that support web and application development in most enterprise organizations.

In addition to technical skills, we also provide students with several opportunities to grow as professionals. We understand that employers are looking for candidates with the communication and problem-solving skills that are highly sought in the IT industry. Centriq’s IT Career Program also teaches other important “soft skills” like reliability, self-motivation, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, etc. With our Badging Program, employers can verify that our students have achieved their technical and professional development goals throughout their enrollment.
Both the Cloud & Security Specialist Program and the Full Stack Coding Program offer solid job and career opportunities. But each of these advanced jobs requires experience and training. The good news is you don’t have to choose which advanced area you want to specialize in at the beginning. All you have to do is determine whether you’re best suited to be in cybersecurity or a coder. Fortunately, Centriq has a free Career Evaluation Tool to help you determine which path is best suited for your IT career.
