Quinten Doty
Bio
I went to Shawnee Mission West and graduated in 2015. While in high school, I was a car wash manager for 4 years. I learned a lot working there and decided that I wanted to take the skills I acquired and apply them to something more meaningful to me.
Q&A
Q: Why did you decide to come to Centriq?
A:I came to Centriq because I have always been interested in the field of technology. Growing up I built multiple computers, learned the basics of many programming languages, and helped fix family, friends’ and coworkers’ computer problems or upgrades. I heard about the school on the radio quite a bit and after I had a friend come through the track, and got his feedback, I decided that this route would be good for my learning style.
Q: What class has been your favorite so far?
A: My favorite class so far has been PowerShell. I can see it having a very practical use while in the field. I like the automation factor and how much you can manipulate the system from a command line interface. That being said, I have enjoyed every class and I am eager to finish the Windows Server Administration classes, and the rest of the track.
Q: What do you hope to do after Centriq?
A: My goal after Centriq is to use my previous knowledge along with my newly learned skills and apply them towards a company that will take me on as an asset to their team. I am excited to get into the field and start working towards a new goal.
Q: What other hobbies and interests do you have?
A: One of my favorite hobbies is going out and fishing, especially during the warmer months! I also spend a lot of time on my computer working on multiple different projects. I have played guitar for about 13 years and try and play every day.
