Meet Benjamin Predmore, his story is one of exploration, persistence, and transformation. Before stepping into the world of technology, he earned his technical diploma in Marine & Small Engine Repair. Whether out on the water or ice fishing in the colder months, Benjamin’s passion for problem solving has always guided him. But after years of turning wrenches and working in factories, he realized he wanted more: more opportunities to grow and more challenges to tackle.
Benjamin shared, “I got tired of turning wrenches and working in factories. There were not many opportunities to advance and move up. I wanted a career in an industry where I had more opportunities to grow and learn more.” That desire for growth and continuous learning led him to Centriq.
During his journey in the CSSP program, Benjamin discovered a fascination with cybersecurity’s complex and crucial role in protecting organizations. Cloud Week became a highlight for him. “Learning about Microsoft Sentinel and how it offers SIEM and SOAR functions was amazing. I was impressed by how SIEM uses workbooks to collect data and provide threat detection, while SOAR uses playbooks to automate and orchestrate responses.”
This hands-on experience and exposure to real-world tools paid off. “After this course, I was able to pass my SC-900,” Benjamin proudly noted, a key Microsoft security certification that positions him for in-demand jobs.
Benjamin’s setting his sights on joining a managed service provider or a company’s IT department, ready to apply his technical skills in a field where there’s always something new to learn.
