Meet Arec Tucker, one of our September featured students. Arec’s journey into IT is a testament to the power of curiosity and embracing new opportunities. Coming from a background in both maintenance and sales, Arec is no stranger to using technology in different work environments. After hearing about Centriq’s Cybersecurity Specialist Program on the radio, he felt an immediate spark, this was the path he needed to pursue. Arec has always loved exploring new learning paths and gets genuine satisfaction from preventing problems before they even arise.
While meeting new people and overcoming obstacles can be intimidating, Arec discovered that once those initial barriers are broken down, things usually aren’t as daunting as they seem. His willingness to take on new challenges and connect with others has been an important part of his experience at Centriq, blending technical growth with personal development.
Looking ahead, Arec is eager to apply the skills he’s gained in the program to real-world IT issues. He values the technical expertise he’s building but also recognizes the importance of human connections. As he continues his journey, he hopes to bring both his troubleshooting abilities and his knack for relationship-building to the IT industry. Congratulations Arec!
