Centriq recognizes 1-2 outstanding students as our Featured Student of the Month. Andrew Shaul is one of our Featured Students for November 2025.
After graduating high school, Andrew Shaul set out on an unique path, serving his country as a United States Marine Corps Cryptology Linguist and Signals Intelligence Operator. His work took him across the globe, including deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq, where he honed skills in analysis, communication, and the ability to thrive under pressure.
When his military service came to an end, Andrew knew he wanted to chase a new mission: finding a career that fueled his curiosity and allowed him to serve in a new way. That search led him to Centriq, where the blend of technology and hands-on problem-solving was a perfect match. “I’ve always been fascinated by understanding how things work and finding solutions to technical problems,” Andrew shares. After speaking with Centriq’s team, he quickly realized that the Cybersecurity Specialist program would let him put his passion for problem-solving to real and meaningful use.
Throughout his time at Centriq, Andrew has discovered just how vast and exciting the IT field can be. Cloud computing quickly became his favorite subject, capturing his imagination with seemingly endless possibilities. “The classes on cloud computing intrigued me the most, so I did additional research on my own time to learn even more about what it has to offer,” he explains.
For Andrew, the journey is about more than technical knowledge. It’s about carving out a future where his military discipline and natural curiosity open new doors. Looking ahead, he’s eager to build a lasting career, continue growing as a technician, and explore the many avenues IT has to offer. “I aim to secure meaningful employment where I can keep developing my skills and find the area of IT that fits me best.”
Centriq is proud to support driven students like Andrew, people who transform their unique backgrounds into new strengths and never stop searching for the next challenge to solve. Congratulations Andrew!
