Bio
For the past 5 years I have been working in the service industry as a bartender and server. Out of high school I went to Missouri State University for 1 year and continued my education at Maple Woods Community College the next year. Although I enjoy my current profession, I feel that I am ready to start a career in a field that I have passion for. I have always had an interest in IT and finally decided to pursue that interest here at Centriq.
Q&A
Q: Why did you decide to come to Centriq?
A: I have always been interested in IT and how things work within IT. Growing up, my brother was always into computers, taking them apart and discovering all of the components. Being around that made me want to discover and learn more myself. After thinking about pursuing a career in IT and talking to friends that are in IT, I decided that Centriq was the place for me. A few of my friends have come through the Centriq program and told me how incredible it was so I had to try it out.
Q: What class has been your favorite so far?
A: Net+ has by far been my favorite topic of study thus far in the track. Although I have enjoyed everything I have been taught so far, Net+ is the subject that has really resonated with me. The concept of getting all the machines to talk and be on the same page is exciting to me.
Q: What do you hope to do after Centriq?
A: After Centriq I hope to find a career that allows me to use all of the skills that I have learned and continue to learn through my time at Centriq.
Q: What other hobbies and interests do you have?
A: In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with friends and family, as well as playing softball with my friends. I also enjoy solving Rubik’s cubes of all different shapes and sizes.
