Bio
At a young age I loved to take things apart to see how they work. From old stereos to the first computer that I opened, the technology amazed me which lead me to focus on STEM classes through my education. When I moved to a workplace environment I always had jobs that were customer facing and technical such as drafting and manufacturing eyeglass lenses. After having careers like these I realized that a career in IT would be the perfect match for me.
Q&A
Q: Why did you decide to come to Centriq?
A: Over my working career I have developed a passion for both customer service and technical problem-solving. A career in IT will combine these passions while giving me new challenges. Centriq seemed like a great fit for me bringing together a fast pace environment, hands-on learning, and the ability to get certified in a short amount of time.
.Q: What class has been your favorite so far?
A: Overall it is very difficult to choose my favorite class because I have enjoyed them all so much. A+ was a lot of fun for me because I like to work with physical things and it was a great way for me to get to know my team. CCENT I thoroughly enjoyed because it was like solving a complex puzzle. I am excited to see what the next classes challenge me with and teach me.
Q: What do you hope to do after Centriq?
A: After Centriq I would like to either go into network administration or do internal IT for a company. I enjoy working with people and solving different problems every day.
Q: What other hobbies and interests do you have?
A: When I have free time I love to cook, my specialty being BBQ. It was something that I taught myself over years of trial and error using friends and family to help perfect the art. Every year I always compete in at least one charity cook-off as a fun way to give back to the community.
