Victor Volasgis

Bio
I am a U.S. Army Veteran interested in continuing my career focus of Information Technology, Desktop support, Help Desk Technician, into my civilian life. I am eager to continue my education and better myself to excel in my field. I am currently a student at Centriq Training enrolled in the Systems and Security career track, where I will obtain CompTIA’s A+, Network+, Security+, and Microsoft Server Administration Fundamentals certifications. The reason why I chose IT is because I love the mind bobbling puzzles that comes with troubleshooting issues. More importantly the great feeling you have after solving the problem at hand, from those “My computer just won’t turn on”, all the way to full on outages.
Q&A
Q: Why did you decide to come to Centriq?
A:Before I came to the realization that Centriq was the best place to go I did a lot of research. I searched for schools that gave you the best chances to reach that goal everyone that comes to certification programs To Get Certified. I also searched for schools that cared for not just filling classrooms but focused on giving you the best shot at getting that first job post-graduation. Centriq checks the boxes for both search criteria. They don’t just care about getting your money. To Centriq it’s more than that, they build true professionals.
.Q: What class has been your favorite so far?
A: My favorite part of the Systems and Security Admin track so far is the two weeks of A+. I never have been one to build a computer starting from scratch and I received plenty of hands on during this course.
Q: What do you hope to do after Centriq?
A: I would like to be a Jr Systems Admin for my next job after Centriq.
Q: What other hobbies and interests do you have?
A: I love music of all types, but I mostly relate to the stories country music speaks to the soul. I was highly active in high school regarding sports (Football, Track, Cross Country, weightlifting). I was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL and I miss the summer nights on the beach.
