Bio
I was born in a small town in the middle of Nevada, ending up in Kansas City at the age of 14 and have loved living here since, I especially enjoy the museums here. Before coming to Centriq I tended to have manual labor jobs, from warehouse work to construction and working at a plant nursery, because I enjoy working with my hands and being active. I enjoy spending my time with my family and friends, reading books of nearly any genre, and some gaming as well.
Q&A
Q: Why did you decide to come to Centriq?
A: I came to Centriq because I’ve always enjoyed messing around computers and learning how they work, and occasionally breaking them when I was younger, and with the way the world is moving towards an ever-expanding technology industry, even though I enjoy working manual labor I had to think about the future and where I could make use my talents. I also was attracted to the fact that technology always has new things to learn.
Q: What class has been your favorite so far?
A: I really enjoyed PowerShell, I didn’t know I would like a form of scripting as much as did, and the prospects of what you can do with it intrigue me, as well as the simple ways you can use it to automate processes to take a fraction of the time.
Q: What do you hope to do after Centriq?
A: I am still undecided as to the exact route in IT I would like to take, but I plan to never stop learning new skills and expanding my skill set. For now, I have the goal to get at least another certification per year and trying my hand at other technology paths besides systems and network administration to broaden my knowledge.
Q: What other hobbies and interests do you have?
A: In my free time I like to keep up on the gaming and tech industry and see the newest innovations and possibilities of what we can do with technology, as well as doing some gaming of my own from time to time. When it’s nice out I also enjoy spending time out in nature and hiking, my favorite area here near the metro is Weston Bend State Park.
