“I am married to my high school sweetheart with an eight-year-old son, and a daughter on the way, due in December. Our family also includes two dogs and two cats. I am originally from Nebraska, but my family moved to South Carolina when I was nine. After marrying my husband, his career in the army took us to Fort Bragg until 2010, and then to Fort Leavenworth.?? In our spare time we enjoy playing games, including everything from board and card games to video games. We also like to take time to do things outdoors – any adventure is a good adventure.

Q: Why did you decide to come to Centriq?
A: I decided to come to Centriq in search of a more fulfilling career. I was working as an administrative assistant with no room to progress. I left that job to come to Centriq for a career change and to bring my joy of problem solving together with my knowledge of customer service.

Q: What class has been your favorite so far?
A: So far, Powershell has been my favorite. Powershell adds a certain level of simplicity to everything you need to complete. It is straight forward and allows for easy automation. When you find a program that can cut your task time by hours and you actually enjoy using it, it is a beautiful thing.

Q: What do you hope to do after Centriq?
A: My plan is to eventually take this knowledge and turn into the fulfilling career I have been looking for. I am eager to start the job search and make something of myself using the tools I have learned through Centriq.

Q: What other interests do you have?
A: My main hobby is video games, including anything from RPG to FPS. I personally prefer role-playing games, but spend most of my time playing Minecraft with my son and husband. If we are not playing video games, then we are out and about finding an adventure. I spend all of my time with my family when I am not in class. However, if do manage to find some alone time, I enjoy reading or doing puzzles. I also try to find time to cook or bake. I love being in the kitchen and trying new recipes; however, I have learned I cannot grill anything!
