“I was born and raised in Kansas City. After high school, I worked in various retail stores. As much as I loved interacting with people and the sales aspect of retail, I was always drawn back to technology. I saw each piece of software implemented at these stores as a new challenge. I wanted to pursue a career in technology to use my strengths, including, my passion for my work, problem-solving skills, and my addiction to learning new content.“
Q: Why did you decide to come to Centriq?
A: I decided to come to Centriq because I loved learning about new software at my retail jobs and sought to work with software that would further challenge my skillset and knowledge. I spoke to my dad, who is a CTO, and he recommended that I attend Centriq.
Q: What class has been your favorite so far?
A: The moment I wrote in C#, I knew this was what I was meant to do. Therefore, I believe C# will always be my “first love,” but I have loved every tier and language I have learned thus far. C# and the middle tier in general is extremely powerful with it acting as the “glue” that I can then implement back-end or front-end using razor or LINQ.
Q: What do you hope to do after Centriq?
A: I hope to start my career with a job I enjoy. My ultimate goal is to work with Apple as a software developer.
Q: What other interests do you have?
A: I have a multitude of hobbies, including solving Rubik’s Cubes (my current time is 43 seconds), long boarding, obsessing over Apple products, and enjoying Marvel and DC content.
