BIO
Before coming to Centriq, I earned my bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University of Central Missouri. I also worked for several years in the marketing, sales, and logistics industries in a variety of roles. I love helping others, problem solving, and tinkering with things. I’m a firm believer that hard work and dedication always pay off and fully commit myself to everything I do. I’m happiest with a thunderstorm, black coffee, and beats.
Q&A
Q: Why did you decide to come to Centriq?
A: I’ve gained a lot of great experience over the years, but I wanted to pursue a career that truly excites me. The mix of logic and creativity that development offers have been infinitely fascinating. It always presents a new skill to learn, a new problem to solve, or a new perspective to explore. Centriq offers the foundational knowledge to build an amazing career in IT, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to enroll.
Q: What class has been your favorite so far?
A: I’ve been enthralled with C# ever since it was introduced. Problems often require creative solutions, and it’s been extremely interesting to develop creatively using nothing but logic. Making that connection between two seemingly exclusive aspects of thought has been a really fun challenge.
Q: What do you hope to do after Centriq?
A: I would love to find an opportunity to hone the skills I’ve learned at Centriq, especially in C# and front-end development. I also plan to continue learning new languages like Python, PHP, and Java. Onwards and upwards!
Q: What other hobbies and interests do you have?
A: I’m a nerd of all trades – SciFi, Fantasy, games, shows – you name it. I love to experiment with new recipes in the kitchen, home brew interesting craft beers, travel when I can, and spend time with my wonderful family here in KC.
