BIO
Cheers! My name is Jordan Hickman and I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. I really enjoy my time writing music, going to concerts, reading, and trying out new recipes. I especially enjoy travel, national and abroad, and hiking in new places. My close family lives here although I am not beyond living elsewhere at a date in the future to drink in different environments and seek out great opportunities.

Q: Why did you decide to come to Centriq?
A: I have spent much of my time as a professional in the coffee industry for the past 8 years. While it supplied me with great networking and experience, the pandemic led me to shift focus to another growing industry. I helped with the scheme of a UX for an online ordering app for my café and that really piqued my passion to apply my full self to the world of technology. Enter Centriq, Kansas City!
Q: What class has been your favorite so far?
A: I find it fulfilling to arrive at the big picture of things. I found myself arriving at that first big picture moment using ASP.NET MVC. I love how everything comes together through UI/UX in the front-end and then serving up the data from back-end based on mid-tier business logic.
Q: What do you hope to do after Centriq?
A: My mission after my time at Centriq is to grow and use my skills to improve and assist businesses where it is needed. I’d like to find a work environment with a focused team that I can contribute to that ultimately encourages us to achieve any goal.
Q: What other hobbies and interests do you have?
A: I have been an avid music lover my whole life. I am self-taught on electric guitar. I love networking with musicians and collaborating. I tend to relate new challenges in my life back to learning guitar. As a result, my relationship with discipline and determination is getting healthier daily.
