Centriq and ConnectWise
Deliver Advanced Ticketing System Training to Future IT Workforce
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Centriq and ConnectWise are partnering in the classroom to train the next generation of information technology (IT) professionals in resolving service issues. The ticketing system is a core part of IT that has a long history but made recent significant advancements. IT professionals must adapt to the ever-changing technologies available in the workplace.
Centriq’s IT Career Program is designed to give graduates the technology job skills that are in demand today. Working in a ticketing system is a vital part of an IT career. Most Centriq graduates will sit down on the first day of a job and work in a ticketing system.
“Partnering with ConnectWise is a step forward in our dedication to offer our students real-world, on-the-job skills,” said Jessica Oliver, Chief Operating Officer at Centriq. “Our goal at Centriq is to provide our students with the most relevant, hands-on experiences in the classroom using the same technologies they’ll work with in their future jobs. ConnectWise Manage is a premier ticketing system and there is not a more relevant platform in the tech workforce.”
Centriq students will work in the ConnectWise Manage system throughout the IT career program. Students will receive the ConnectWise University training to get hands-on experience working tickets with a ConnectWise degree and Centriq badge earned upon completion.
“We’re excited to be working with a company that’s so passionate about building great technology talent,” said Mathew Breejen, Sr. Director of Education at ConnectWise. “While this is a great opportunity for Centriq and ConnectWise, more importantly, this is a big milestone for the students who will graduate from Centriq’s IT Career Program with ConnectWise Manage experience and training that will be applicable on day one of their new careers.”
The ConnectWise Manage system will be configured specifically for Centriq programs. There will be mock companies, contacts, and tickets inside the platform to give them the technical experience of resolving issues with varying complexity. Students will open a ticket, solve the request, change the status, put time on it and close it out. They’ll also learn the professional and communication skills, following ConnectWise best practices, required to respond to co-workers. The updated training is part of Centriq’s ability to provide cutting-edge IT curriculum to prepare its students for a career in technology.
