I started to feel the itch to make a change to a field where there was a lot of room for growth and opportunities for continued learning that would challenge me throughout my career and found IT to be that field.

Courtney Crespo
BIO
When I was a teenager, I spent my time reading books and writing short stories. I had an online journal that had an option to edit the HTML; this is when I was first introduced to web development. I taught myself neat tricks to change the appearance of my landing page. I didn’t know what web development was then, but I remember thinking whatever this was, they were lucky to have that kind of job. I joined the military right out of high school and served 8 years. I then worked various customer service jobs, my favorite being a leasing agent for apartments, because of the interactions with residents. I knew I wanted more out of my career, and so my search began at a local community college using my GI Bill. Tapping into what I really wanted out of life, I discovered I am lucky to be the person to edit what goes on behind web pages.

Kayla McCullough

Bio
My name is Kayla McCullough. I grew up living the life of a military brat; moving and traveling every other year, not really settling in one place but relocating and adjusting as my father’s profession required. I am grateful that I have seen and lived in some amazing places but had always longed to settle down in one place to call home. 25 years ago we moved from San Francisco, Ca. to Kansas City and raised our children into adulthood and are proud of the people they are becoming. Nowadays, we occupy our time with 3 dachshunds that have just taken over our hearts.

ABIGAYLE WILLIS
BIO
My name is Abigayle Willis I am a receptionist/swim teacher turned web developer. I have always loved math and science but really wanted to work in a field where I was able to interact with people on a regular basis. Web development feels like a perfect fit because of the logic element I enjoyed from math, the constant changes and new things to learn, and the teamwork element my extrovertedness prefers.
