Meet This Month's Alumni Spotlight: Taylor Drummer
Taylor's path into technology did not begin in a classroom. It began in the United States Marine Corps, where discipline, accountability, and showing up become the foundation on how Taylor operates. This ethos carried directly into every role, every certification, and every challenge that followed. After a non-linear journey that included military service and automotive mechanics, Taylor made a deliberate decision to pursue a career in technology, through Centriq's Cybersecurity Specialist Program.
Since graduating, Taylor has moved quickly. Starting as an IT Equipment Technician at Encoura and advancing into the role of IT Assets Logistics Coordinator, Taylor now oversees large-scale endpoint operations, provisions, imaging, logistics coordination, and enterprise asset management across the organization. Along, the way, Taylor earned the CompTIA Security+ and AWS Cloud Practitioner certifications, adding technical credibility to hands-on operational experience.
Known for reliability, organization, and a strong work ethic, Taylor has taken on leadership responsibilities by helping train team members and supporting operational continuity. As a Centriq Alumni Ambassador, Taylor shares firsthand experience in starting a career in IT and demonstrates how hands-on training, adaptability, and initiative can create opportunities for rapid professional growth. Taylor is intentionally building expertise across three areas shaping the future of enterprise technology: Cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and AI implementation
