Alumni Spotlight: Alexander Forbes

Since graduating from Centriq’s Cybersecurity Specialist Program in October 2025, Alexander Forbes has quickly begun building a strong foundation in the IT industry through hands-on technical experience and a commitment to continued growth.

He started his career as an IT Technician Intern at Complete Technology Solutions, where he gained practical experience supporting users, troubleshooting technical issues, and learning the day-to-day operations of managed IT services. His dedication and technical ability helped him advance into his current role as a Service Desk Engineer with the organization, where he continues developing his expertise in customer support, systems administration, and cybersecurity best practices.

Alongside his professional experience, Alexander has continued strengthening his technical knowledge by earning his CompTIA Security+ certification, demonstrating his focus on cybersecurity and industry-recognized skills.

As a Centriq Alumni Ambassador, he represents the determination and career-focused mindset that many students bring to the program. By sharing his experience transitioning into IT, Alexander helps encourage current and prospective students to see how quickly hands-on training, industry certifications, and real-world experience can create opportunities for long-term career growth in technology.
