A leading Kansas City-based apparel brand has over 1,000 unique items in its catalog. Many items within a product category are similar to others in that category, yet each item demands a unique product description. The marketing team was spending over ten hours a week manually writing creative product descriptions for its growing catalog. Not only was this time-consuming and stressful for the team, it also created bottlenecks in the overall marketing workflow. The marketing team needed some way to expedite or automate the generation of product descriptions.
Solution:
Centriq created an AI Product Description Assistant for the company that utilizes AI to create unique catalog descriptions for the company’s apparel. First, Centriq created a private, custom GPT (AI Product Description Assistant). The Product Description Assistant was then “trained” on historical product images and product descriptions learning the format and length of typical descriptions as well as the brand voice of the company. Centriq utilizes AI to upload, recognize and analyze new product images. The Product Description Assistant then generates descriptions that are brand-aligned in both form and content – in a matter of seconds. A team member then reviews each description before publishing.
