Hi! My name is Sarah Ledford. I live in the KC Metro area with my husband, dog, and cat. I’m originally from Alabama but moved up here when my husband was stationed at Fort Riley. After the military, we moved here so he could go to Centriq through the SSA program. Fast forward a couple of years, and here I am!

Q: Why did you decide to come to Centriq?
A: I have worked in retail for the last 8 years. I loved it, but I knew it wasn’t my career. I knew I wanted a career where my creativity could be used. It was suggested in my past that I look into programming, and when I looked into it, I fell in love with it and the way it enables me to channel my creativity! I knew from my husband’s experience with Centriq that there was no better school.
Q: What class has been your favorite so far?
A: I really enjoy the front end, but especially using the front-end in conjunction with MVC. I love the expanded creativity that MVC allows – connecting data, making applications dynamic. The possibilities are endless!
Q: What do you hope to do after Centriq?
A: I am looking forward to gaining a position in a team. Working collaboratively with others makes my heart happy, seeing how everyone helps to grow, encourage, and teach each other as we all create a solid application.
Q: What other hobbies and interests do you have?
A: In my spare time, I love to crochet and knit geeky things for myself, my friends, and my family. My husband and I also collect VHS tapes; we own over 300!
