Dylan Sauer
Bio
Hi! I’m Dylan, I have been a Kansas native since birth, growing up in Olathe, Lawrence and even Ottawa. Before coming to Centriq I worked in warehouse and logistics for about 7 years. I always knew that warehouse working was never going to be the place I wanted to stay, so I decided to take it into my own hands and finally work in technology. Working in the IT field is something I have wanted since I was a child trying to figure out my mother’s computer. I cannot wait to see the future that is unfolded in front of me!
Q&A
Q: Why did you decide to come to Centriq?
A: Having a dream of working in technology is not the simplest task when you don’t have any education. I knew that a classroom environment would be the best opportunity that I had to succeed. I chose Centriq because I have heard of and researched hours into their program. After I talked With Russ Mondry I knew that everything I wanted to do with my career started with Centriq!
Q: What class has been your favorite so far?
A: Windows Server Administration has everything I could ever ask for. It showed me how to set up everything from users to sites, how to restrict and even enable users, how to even make users and administrators lives easier to control. Learning everything has been an eye-opener and makes me want to strive to learn no matter how difficult the path is!
Q: What do you hope to do after Centriq?
A: I hope to be in some form of system administrator role right after graduating. Extended goals for me include CCNA, Cloud management and hopefully way more!
Q: What other hobbies and interests do you have?
A: I absolutely love to cook. If it sounds like it would be delicious, I will make it. I enjoy traveling to gaming conventions all over the US. I also enjoy the competitive nature of Sim racing and the mental workout that has bled into my life to strive to be better.
