James Glover
BIO
My name is James Glover. I am originally from Wichita, Kansas. I spent 10 years in the Army as an artilleryman and decided to settle in Kansas City because I love the area. I briefly attended Wichita State University and worked various warehouse jobs before I joined the Army in 2010. I have always had a fascination with programming, so I decided to pursue a degree in computer science during my time in the Army which I completed last summer.
Q&A
Q: Why did you decide to come to Centriq?
A: I decided to come to Centriq to supplement my education and deepen my knowledge of real-world development. Combine that with the fact that I want to live in the Kansas City area and I have my GI Bill benefits, coming to a place like Centriq was a no brainer.
Q: What class has been your favorite so far?
A: My favorite subject matter so far has been the front-end tracks. I have learned a lot about how the different languages come together to present the web page to the user. I am amazed every day at all the various technologies that go into development.
Q: What do you hope to do after Centriq?
A: After Centriq, I hopefully settle in my new home, start a new career in development, start a family, and volunteer for various veteran causes.
Q: What other hobbies and interests do you have?
A: I enjoy hiking, reading, listening to music, poker, World War II history, and watching sports. I have been a die-hard fan of the Chiefs and Royals since I was a kid and plan to attend lots of games in the future.
