Centriq Training Announces Scholarships for TechSmart KC Program
LEAWOOD, KS. (May 16, 2012) - Centriq Training announced today a new scholarship offer in connection with its “Pass I.T. On” referral program. Any student that is referred to Centriq’s TechSmart KC program on or before June 30, 2012 will receive a $1000 scholarship towards their tuition.
“Over 35% of our students are referrals from previous TechSmart KC students or from students in our corporate classes,” said Kevin Grawe, President of Centriq. “These former students all have great careers in I.T. and were willing to “Pass I.T. On” to someone else by referring them to Centriq. Now they can also pass on a savings of $1000.”
Centriq’s TechSmart KC program is an accelerated, four-month, hands-on training program designed to give students both the job skills and industry certifications needed to obtain an entry-level I.T. job. The program – which offers either a .NET Application Developer track or an I.T. Administrator track – is designed for individuals with little or no I.T. experience. Over 400 Kansas City area companies have hired graduates from the TechSmart KC program.
“Many times I.T. professionals know of people that are interested in starting a career in I.T. but aren’t interested in a 2-4 year college program. That’s why we’re offering this scholarship in hopes of getting the word out that there is a great four month alternative,” said Grawe.
