Centriq Reviews: Corporate IT Training – First Quarter of 2017

April 17, 2017 in Corporate IT Training, Reviews: Corporate Training / by Sara Lamb

It’s become common practice for businesses to ask for customer feedback on all types of transactions. Whether you’re at the grocery store, getting gas or shopping online, companies want to know how satisfied or dissatisfied you are.

We ask for feedback from every customer that attends a corporate IT training class at Centriq. The feedback you provide is shared with the instructor that taught your class, as well as the company’s Owners and members of the Management team.

We applaud the positive feedback, analyze constructive criticism for opportunities to improve and implement as many suggestions as possible.

The following is feedback we received from customers that took a training class from Centriq’s Corporate Division in Q1 of 2017.

CompTIA Network+

Instructor: Jeff Overhaug

Jeff was very knowledgeable and personable. I really enjoyed his conversational style of learning. There were several real world demonstrations and he would even apply his knowledge to questions about our specific work environment.

Programming in C#

Instructor: Mike Rissen

No issues at all with the technology. I was a little apprehensive taking a remote class, but am no longer. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

CompTIA A+ Comprehensive

Instructor: Chad Johnson

I really enjoyed this class and it was nice to have an instructor that is genuinely excited about technology and new innovations. Plus, I liked the dual-screen setup and how low the desks were low so we could see the instructor.

Administering a SQL Database Infrastructure

Instructor: Michael Osborne

Mike was clearly an expert on this material. Though I have a very limited knowledge of SQL, I was able to keep up quite well, though some modules were a bit over my head. I plan to do more reading when get back into the office, and to work with my DBA with specific environment questions.

Microsoft Office 2016 Tips and Tricks

I’m not sure anything could have been done to make this class better. It was fun yet professional. Thank you!

CompTIA Security+

Kasama’s teaching style is very engaging. He does a great job of making sure everyone comprehends the material and takes time to fill any gaps in understanding.

Administering Windows Server 2012

Instructor: Janet Nichols

Janet definitely knows her Microsoft. She was able to easily explain and interpret questions as needed.

SharePoint 2013 for End Users, Power Users & Site Owners

Instructor: Karla Sharp

This class is great for developing SharePoint from scratch or if you are a SharePoint administrator. I needed to learn how to design SharePoint sites more than manage them. Basically, I needed to know how to make them look pretty, maybe even down to a coding level. So this class didn’t tackle my needs, but I did gain a greater understanding of the capabilities of SharePoint. I don’t feel like I am walking away empty handed.

Rafiq was awesome. One of THE BEST instructors I have ever had. Really knows how to tie in the training material with real world scenarios.

I appreciate the abilities and willingness of the staff to accommodate me to remote in one day so I didn’t have to miss the class.

CompTIA Network+

Instructor: Kasasma Kasemvudhi

I wasn’t expecting a network administration course to be as interesting as this one was. I expected a dry, mainly memorization based course. Instead, I feel as though I have a realistic idea of exactly what a day in the life of a network administrator would entail. Kasama was awesome at explaining the real world use and impact of the topics we covered, as well as providing the necessary knowledge to feel prepared to pass the certification exam the content covers.

Supporting and Troubleshooting Windows10 in the Enterprise

Instructor: Robert Ritter

The instructor was able to keep the information fresh and it did not feel like he was reading from a script. Real world experiences also helped to give the subject matter practical applications and scenarios.

Certified Network Defender

Instructor: Kasama Kasemvudhi

I enjoyed the mix of labs in the course. I thought the iLabs was a beneficial part of the course as it went over things I haven’t seen before with step by step instruction.

Automating Administration with Windows PowerShell v4.0

Instructor: Robert Ritter

Mr. Ritter was exceptional!! I started the class with little to no knowledge of programming and/or PowerShell. However after taking his class on PowerShell I have gained enough knowledge to have confidence in moving forward.

I enjoy the very structured way that PowerShell was taught. Also, he took his time to get the basics clear. There was a good emphasis on practical use of PowerShell and good information on practical use of commands.
