Bio
“I have been a Law Enforcement Officer for the past 5 years, with 3 of those years working in a school environment. I am very passionate and dedicated to the job that I do. However, since my wife and I are expecting our first child in October, I have decided I would like to have a safer working environment. When deciding what I would like to do besides Law Enforcement it was evident that I wanted to get into the IT field. I currently have 2 Bachelor degrees, one in computer networking and one for computer investigations. I wanted to expand my knowledge and explore application development. With that in mind I found Centriq to be my gateway to a fulfilling future in the realm of IT. ”
Q&A
Q: Why did you decide to come to Centriq?
A: I was looking for a program that would fit my current work schedule. I also wanted a learning environment that was hands on with real world applications. I wanted to be able to complete the program in less than a year and with certification options. It was important that the instructors were knowledgeable. I found Centriq to be the RIGHT place for me!
Q: What class has been your favorite so far?
A: I have enjoyed all of my classes at Centriq so far but I do have a couple favorites. They are the HTML/CSS and SQL database. I like the HTML/CSS class because it allows me to be able to showcase my creative side. I find SQL database intriguing and challenging!
Q: What do you hope to do after Centriq?
A: After Centriq, I hope to take what I have learned and venture into the IT industry as a .Net developer.
Q: What other interests do you have?
A: When I am not out fighting crime, I enjoy being crafty! My current crafting projects include making items out of duct tape, like wallets, purses and picture frames. One of my other crafting projects is making paracord survival bracelets. When I am not being creative, I like to spend time laughing and hanging out with family and friends. I love technology so it is not uncommon to find me exploring apps on my phone, working on my computers, playing video games or watching movies throughout my day.
