Q&A
Q:What mobile app can you not live without?
A: UPM- Universal Password Manager. With all the usernames, passwords and URLs we use in today’s world, it’s nice to have all the info in one password protected place.
Q:What future technology are you most looking forward to?
A: When your car is a moving secure Wi-Fi zone. No more hunting for a hot spot anymore when on the road or when you are a passenger in a car on a long trip. Freedom to work/play on your laptop and not just your smart phone.
Q:Do you have a favorite industry blog that you follow or forum you participate on? If so, what do you like about it?
A: I’m really into YouTube. It’s amazing what you can learn about technology from YouTube videos. I have taken a deeper dive into SharePoint 2010 via YouTube videos to continue to gain knowledge. The videos enhance what you learn from books. I also have a better understanding of what one of my co-workers teaches, ITILv3 Foundation, by watching some YouTube videos on the course. It truly is a great resource for learning.
Q: What are some fun facts about you?
A: My hobbies are my boys and husband. So my hobby depends on the time of year and what they are into. Right now that means football. Montana, my 18 yr old plays football at Drake University and my 16 yr old, McClain, plays football at Blue Valley North. I am the team photographer so I get to be on the field during the games and take pictures. I even built a football website for the BVN football team, www.bvnfootball.com, so I can post the photos and all the important information for the team and parents. I love it when I see the boys using my pictures as their Face book profile picture!
Q:What can someone expect when they come to take one of your classes?
A: Upbeat environment, a lot of hands on training, real world examples that can be taken back and applied immediately to their jobs.
