Micheal Woolard

Bio

“I lived in Saint Joseph, Missouri for 22 years, working the usual fast food or factory job. Then I moved with my wife to Atlanta, where we lived for almost six and a half years, and I worked as a machinist. While in Atlanta, a family member introduced me to the art of building computers. I returned to Missouri to enter the field of Civil Engineering as an engineering technician, first for my brother-in-law and then for a larger company in the Northland. While working for my brother-in-law’s business, I also had the opportunity to build all the desktops and servers in the office, which I found gratifying and sparked my interest to learn more about computers. After the recent economic downturn reduced the available career opportunities in Civil Engineering, I was determined to find a career that would offer me new challenges and opportunities for growth. I chose Centriq to provide me with the advanced training I would need to find that new challenging career.”

Q&A

Q: Why did you decide to come to Centriq?
A: My decision to attend Centriq Training was not a quick one. With the downturn in the economy and the lack of available positions in my current career, I knew it was time for a change. I explored multiple schools and training facilities, but I couldn’t decide which would be best for me. Then one day I had the opportunity to meet a Centriq graduate Kelley Kirk, and after hearing his rave review of the program, my mind was made up. I am very fortunate to have met Kelley and owe him many thanks for recommending such a great training facility.

Q: What subject matter has been your favorite so far?
A: Overall I have enjoyed most of the material covered, but I would have to say my favorite is the Integration of DNS in AD DS. I think mostly because I understood it the best, which I owe in part to the instructor Hai Hilvitz.

Q: What do you hope to do after Centriq?
A: Like most graduates, I hope to find a fast paced job that will challenge and hone my current skill set. I would like an employer that would value continuing my education as much as I do.

Q: What other interests do you have?
A: In my spare time I enjoy hunting and fishing with my father, or just hanging out with friends and family. I like to go mountain bike riding with my wife and brother-in-law, and playing video games with my two little nephews.
