New 2010 Cisco CCNP Track Released

 

LEAWOOD, Kan., Feb. 1, 2010 – Cisco announced last week that it has completely revised the CCNP Certification! Click here for a summary of 2010 CCNP track.

  • The new 2010 CCNP certification consists of three exams rather than the four previous exams.
  • The three new CCNP exams are 120 minutes rather than 90 minutes.
  • The 2010 CCNP training track consists of three courses rather than the four previous courses.
  • The new 2010 CCNP track eliminates most redundancies between CCNA and CCNP.
  • Security is now addressed throughout all three courses rather than as a dedicated course.
  • All courses have at least 20% more hands-on activities than the previous CCNP classes.
  • Two of the new courses blend e-learning materials with the classroom training.

Cisco I.T. professionals will be allowed to combine previous CCNP exams with the new 2010 CCNP exams in order to earn the 2010 CCNP certification.  For acceptable combinations, please click here.

Based on expected courseware release dates announced by Cisco, Centriq anticipates offering the first new CCNP class (CS-ROUTE) in mid-April. Centriq‘s Cisco Lab will be upgraded to enable Centriq to offer the only live, hands-on training experience in Kansas City.  Centriq will send an invitation to corporate clients later in the week for the 2010 CCNP Open House. This event will provide a first look at the new courses and upgraded Cisco Lab.
